I have been working with Prodoh developing their children's clothing patterns and illustrations for years and years now. A recent design item that they have incorporated into their offerings is adding in custom artwork for stores and clubs.
Stores and Clubs can reach out to the Prodoh team if interested in receiving information about pricing, quantities, and design concepts. Once this step is accomplished, Prodoh then reaches out to me about creating custom artwork for them.
Artists look for inspiration everywhere: while our family was living abroad, I painted the series of flowers + bulbs shown in the image behind me.
And I have loved living with them for so long: they are evocative of new life, that everything has a season to bloom, rebirth and renewal.
I decided to create a group of Mini Needlepoint Canvases based around the paintings and I'm so glad to share them with you. These ten new designs are inspired by perennial bulbs that will bloom annually. Such little reminders of life and rebirth.
The medium I've been enjoying the most lately is Paper Mache: and I've designed paper mache Green Jackets inspired by The Masters with it this year. I just designed four angels in relief out of the fun medium and the first three sold quickly. Here is the last little angel: I really envision these hanging over a mirror or door in a home that they bless. I love anything that feels like the colors of a quilt, and to me these little angels feel warm, cozy, and a little crafty.
Our local publication, TOWN recently featured my Spanish Retreats in a wonderful article. Many thanks to my friend, Teresa Roche, who has joined on my trip twice, for the wonderful quotes. And to Sarah Bonnett for the most wonderful writing. All of the photos are my own, and it is such a treat to see them published!
