The medium I've been enjoying the most lately is Paper Mache: and I've designed paper mache Green Jackets inspired by The Masters with it this year. I just designed four angels in relief out of the fun medium and the first three sold quickly. Here is the last little angel: I really envision these hanging over a mirror or door in a home that they bless. I love anything that feels like the colors of a quilt, and to me these little angels feel warm, cozy, and a little crafty.
If you have been with me for a while, you know how much I adore Angels. They have huge significance to me, and appear in my work over and over again. I was approached by my daughter's school to develop an Angel Painting for an upcoming auction. The school also wanted for each child to be present in the painting. I decided to create an angel loosely based around some of the beautiful art that I had seen late last summer in Florence, Italy.
