One Room Challenge: Spring 2017: Blog Post Two

It is Week #2 for the Calling it Home Blog's One Room Challenge and I have truly packed it all in this week!
We had the nursery painted in Sherwin Williams Bravo Blue, SW #6784 and the color transformed the space instantly.
I had to get rolling on getting pillows and the window cushion made, so my friend Amanda Louise let me use her work room to have the custom pieces made.  I just love how each piece turned out!
All Fabrics Sources were noted in Last Week's Blog Post

The cute white basket on the far right is from Target and adds some whimsy to the room.
I have stocked it with lots of boyish books about sailing and boats from Amazon
Textural Details
I ordered all of the Pillow forms from Amazon.
The Pair of Monogrammed 'George' and 'Campbell' pillows measure 20 x 20 inches and are from Blowout Bedding
The other blue textured pillow and blue and white polka dot pillows are 18 x 18 inches and are also from Blowout Bedding.
The Bolster Pillow measures 8 x 26 inches and is from Sanxiangfeatherdown.
Rope Detail
All of the beautiful custom embroidery was created by Mary Neal of @WinkMaryFlowers on Instagram (please note that this is the only way you can get in touch with Mary, besides emailing her at mneal@comcast.net) I think that you will absolutely be blown away by her creative approach to monogramming.
Mary made this process fun, easy, and I gave her full creative control over what she wanted to create.
When Amanda Louise ran the pillows by, she also brought George this precious Peacock Alley Whale Blanket that is the softest, sweetest, most perfect blanket for his new room! Thank you, Auntie AL!!!
I just love Mary's attention to detail - I think the rope knots and script were a fun way to write George's Name.
Mary also created this handsome duvet cover for my Grandfather's Twin Bed that is in the Nursery.  I think the white and navy combination is classic and very handsome.  Mary also created a matching pillow to top the bed that will be in the final photoshoot!
Gangs All Here!
Walter the Whale is from Jellycat, the plush Teddy Bear is from Apple Sauce (a South Carolina Company!) and is sourced locally from Paisley and Paper, and the cute Luigi the Frog is from Bla-Bla Kids and was found locally at Vann & Liv
Bla-Bla Kids was nice enough to send this Jacques the Hippo and Pretzel Blue Rattle to me to use for the One Room Challenge - I just love how soft and playful their entire line is!
Here are some snaps of the Dumplings enjoying the late afternoon sun in the new window seat.
And last but not least, did you check out the Mini Series of Sailboats I released late last week inspired by this room?

Ok, that is all for this week!

Next week, I will be chatting about some of the art that I made specifically for the room and what I think is potentially the most important feature in a nursery.... the Noise Machine!!!
Stay tuned and thank you for following along...
